Our summer

Now that Fall is upon us, (yeah) I was thinking about our summer and some of the things we did. I haven't updated in forever so this is a short overview of a few things, I won't bore you with all the details:)It all started with my nephew Trevor's high school graduation! I can't believe he is that old. He graduated with honors and is becoming such an awesome man. I am proud of him and all he has accomplished.

Then our own kids got out of school and the real chaos began.

We had lots of fun with the slip n slide.

Some cousins relocated to be closer to us, and some moved farther away. It was definitely a summer of transitions around here. The Fourth of July and the Morgan County Fair and Parade are always a highlight of the kids summer.

The Living Planet aquarium was fun. The kids spent a few days at Grandma's while Ryan and I snuck away for a much needed break. Thanks Mom! Squeezed in between all the friends were swimming lessons, a few hikes to the "M" and lots of walks and Family fun. It was great to have the kids home, but we were ready for the School year to begin too. The kids love school and always look forward to going back. Not too mention that mom and dad are ready too. We hope your summer was as fun as ours. Sorry this post is so long, I promise to update at least weekly now. There are alot more things I need to put on here, so we will see you again soon!

Run for a cause

On August 24th 2008 our friend John Carter passed away in a tragic plane crash on his way to help the people of Guatemala. John's life was a sermon in itself. He dedicated his life to serving those around him. We as his friends and family hope to honor his life and that of his coworkers this August 22nd with a memorial run and fun run/walk. Please check out the website at to register or donate. All proceeds will go towards scholarships in the name of those who died. thanks for your love and support.

Thursday's Thought

When I stand Before God at the end of my life, I hope that I would not have a bit of talent left and I could say "I used everything you gave me."

We had a great fourth of July here in Morgan. We started the morning with a parade, the kids always have fun seeing all the Family and friends that end up on floats and driving the firetrucks etc. We had the usual yummy breakfast in the park. Aunt Liz and the volleyball team did a great job feeding us and raising money at the same time. The carnival games were fun and the kids had a great time. Ryan and I checked out the booth for the new bike shop in town. I think we will be spending some time (and money) there soon. The kid's favorite part of the day was being sprayed down by the fire trucks! Uncle Dave and the rest of the fire crew made it really fun for them. evening brought family pictures, food and fireworks, we had a great day and hope you did too!

Liam's new style

The other day as we were getting ready to leave Grandma and Grandpa London's house Liam walked up to his Aunt Heather and Said "Heather I thought of a new style." When Heather asked him what it was he said "naked but with shoes on" and starts laughing really hard. Needless to say when heather told us we laughed too. I hope you will understand the lack of pictures with this post! I just didn't think that would be appropriate!

Summer Fun

Okay, here we are about two weeks into summer and what have we done? Well, we have had lots of arguments, bickering and "that's not fair"! It always seems to take the kids a few weeks to adjust to being together all day. But, that seems to be changing into the days of playing made up games together and all piling into one bed to watch a movie. These are the times I cherish as a mom. It is so nice to see the ones we love getting along and loving each other as much as we love them. We have managed to sneak in a few activities. The day school let out we had half the neighborhood over for a impromptu slip n' slide party. On that Friday we took the kids to see UP and out to dinner. We have played with friends, and been to the park, what is there left to do? Hopefully, lots of fun times are ahead this summer. If you have any bright ideas let us know. I am new to this Blog thing, so bear with me. I will figure out how to post pictures soon and post about our fun and not so fun happenings as often as I can. Hopefully with lots of pictures, if I can remember to take the camera along on our adventures!
